f you are reading this post, you probably have a ukulele at home and plan to use it for our 4th grade zoom classes. To get you started, here is a basic chord chart to keep handy.
Here is a video on how to tune your ukulele using a clip on tuner.
Always Remember to:
1 Shape chords with your left hand and strum with you right hand.
2. Make sure your fingers are behind and not on the frets (silver bars on the neck/fretboard) and that you are firming depressing the string.
3. Unlike a guitar, strum just past the sound hole and closer to the neck.
4. When tuning, just move the pegs up or down a little bit at time.
5. To make sure you are in tune, play "My dog has fleas": G C E A from top to bottom.

Ukulenny and Cynthia Lin are two of the Bay area's best known ukulele teachers. Lenny has tons of free song charts and Cynthia has tons of video tutorials on how to play songs. Here's a helpful video from Cynthia on practicing chord changes. Check out the link below for all of her video tutorials including lots of fun songs to play.
Little Kids Rock has tons of song charts (make sure the chart has the green ukulele icon) and some lessons. They have many current pop songs.
